Latest update regarding COVID-19 and the 2021 Show (Updated 11 December 2020)

It is with considerable regret that the Directors have made the decision to cancel the York Model Railway Show 2021. With the current coronavirus situation we consider that it will not be possible to ensure the health and wellbeing of participants or visitors at such an event even if circumstances start to improve by next Easter.

However, we have every intention of resurrecting the York Model Railway Show for 2022 with the expectation that the covid-19 pandemic problem will have stabilised or greatly improved within the next 15 months. We hope to be able to welcome you back to York for Easter 2022 (16/17/18th April).

For holders of Advance Tickets these will still be valid for 2022. However, if you would like a refund please bear with us while we make arrangements to implement a procedure and check back on the website after Christmas. Site being updated with this information 11 December 2020.

2021 Advance Tickets

See statement above regarding existing Advance Tickets and any required refunds.

This is to confirm our earlier statements that as tickets are undated anyone wishing to retain their current, unused, Advance Ticket and use it at the 2021 a future Show is able to do so.

A special thank you goes to to all who purchased advance tickets for 2020 and decided to hang onto them and use them for the 2021 Show. That option remains available – should that be your choice we look forward to seeing you over the Easter weekend, 3rd 4th & 5th April 2021 at a future date, hopefully Easter 2022.

Advance tickets can be used for any single day of the Show.

Purchasers of advance tickets are admitted fifteen minutes earlier (currently 9:45). Please follow on the day signage. Ticket holders arriving after the doors open to the public at 10:00 am may by-pass any “pay desk” queues, simply come in via the main entrance doors and present your ticket to the ticket check stewards.

Please note on the day purchases are cash only.

Data Protection – In accordance with the provisions of the Data Protection Act the information supplied may be held and used by the Show Management for the purposes of business, administration and statistical analysis. We will never sell or transfer your details to third parties for marketing purposes.

Ticket types available – discounts shown are if ordered before 26th March 2020.

  • Adults 16 years and over (£10.00) @ £8.50 each*
  • Child tickets – 5 to 15 years (NB Under 5’s free) @ £2.00 each
  • Family tickets (2A + 3C) (£22.00) @ £19.00 each
  • * Carers looking after disabled person – FREE

    Postal application process

  • UK residents a Stamped Self Addressed Envelope please.
  • Non UK Residents – Add £1.00 to cover postal charges.
  • (NB supplement will change if relevant postal rates do. Last update 30 Sept ’19)
  • Print off the pdf order form, complete it with your order, and post it together with an SAE and your Cheque/Postal Order for the full amount (payable to York Model Railway Show) to Peter J Leadley, Mount Pleasant, North End, Goxhill, Barrow upon Humber, DN19 7JN.

    Reminder – Include a stamped, self addressed envelope for the reply.  The cut off date for the mailing out of advance tickets is one full week before the show.
